Jennings: Wait is almost over.

N Ireland v Romania Group F, kick-off 7.45pm PAT JENNINGS believes Northern Ireland can end 29 years of hurt by qualifying for Euro 2016.

Jennings was in the side the last time his country reached a major tournament, winning his 119th and final cap at the 1986 World Cup in Mexico.

But the goalkeeping legend, 70 yesterday, believes Michael O'Neill's men can make it to France if they get a result against Romania at Windsor Park.

He said: "We've made a fantastic start, so why not this time? We're in a great position and if we can get anything out p g owo of Saturday, I think we will be well on our way.

"We're a little country and if you look at what we've done, we've punched way above our weight."
