Jeanne Marie Porrazzo Tousignant, 53.

FALLS CHURCH, VA Jeanne Marie Porrazzo Tousignant, 53, wife of Alan R. Tousignant, died on April 26, 2008 in Sturbridge, MA following a long illness. She and Alan were married on November 10, 1984 at St. Annes Church in Fiskdale, MA with Reverend John A. Franck, A.A., officiating. Jeanne leaves their three daughters, Anne Marie Tousignant, 22, Elaine Jeanne Tousignant 21, both of the University of Virginia in Charlottesville, and Maura Susan Tousignant, 17, of Phillips Academy in Andover, MA. She also leaves her parents, Jack Porrazzo and Mary Lou (McLaughlin) Porrazzo, her sister Susan (Porrazzo) Starr, brother-in-law Paul Starr and their three sons, William Starr, Alexander Starr and Michael Starr, all of Sturbridge. Jeanne leaves her husbands parents, Roger L. Tousignant of Gardner MA, and Gloria M. Tousignant of Winchendon, MA, and several brothers- and sisters-in law, nieces and nephews.

Jeanne was born on November 28, 1954 in Concord, MA. She graduated from Tantasqua Regional High School, Sturbridge, MA, in 1972, from Assumption College, Worcester, MA, magna cum laude in 1976 with a bachelors degree and from George Mason University, Fairfax, VA, in 1997 with a masters degree in international education. She studied French and Norwegian at the Foreign Service Institute of the U.S. Department of State. Jeanne accompanied her family on Foreign Service assignments in Brussels, Belgium; Cotonou, Benin; Oslo, Norway; Pretoria, South Africa; and Hanoi, Vietnam. A committed Catholic, she became involved in church activities, community aid and school organizations in the various countries where they lived.

Her funeral will be held on Saturday, May 3rd, from the Daniel T. Morrill Funeral Home, 130 Hamilton St., Southbridge, with a Mass at 11:00am in St. Annes Church, 16 Church St., Fiskdale. Burial in St. Annes Cemetery will be held at the convenience of the family. Calling hours in the funeral home will be held on Friday, May 2nd, from 6:00 to 8:00pm.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Director of Development, Cancer Center, Massachusetts General Hospital, 165 Cambridge Street, Suite 600, Boston, MA 02114-2792.
