Jazz setting for some trumpet-blowing.
Coventry and Warwickshire Promotions celebrated the award with a plaque presentation at the launch of its hugely successful Coventry Jazz Festival.
Presenting the award, Malcolm Gillespie, chief executive of the Chamber of Commerce, said: "I don't think I can remember making a presentation in a more memorable setting.
"The award reflects the strong people orientation behind the work the company is doing."
John Heeley, chief executive of CWP, said: "The achievements of the company across all fronts have been terrific and Investors in People has been very helpful as a device for us to put the systems in place to help the team achieve."
CWP was launched in April 1997 with core funding from Coventry City Council as an arms-length promotions agency for the city and region.
It manages the city's tourist information centre in Bayley Lane, runs the region's conference and tourism desk and is responsible for a new generation of major events in the city, including the Godiva Festival and New Year's Eve celebrations.
