Jazz great in Anglesey.

ON Wednesday, October 30 North Wales Jazz will be presenting one of Britain''''s jazz greats, the award winning tenor saxophonist, Dave O''''Higgins, at the Victoria Hotel, Menai Bridge.

A popular and well-known figure on the international jazz scene, having recorded 13 albums as leader with various line-ups. He cut his teeth with the National Youth Jazz Orchestra and took a sabbatical to tour with Icelandic group Mezzoforte. He then came to prominence as the front man of the widely-renowned band Roadside Picnic, at the same time winning much acclaim with his own trio, the Gang of Three.

For this concert Dave O''''Higgins will be joined by Wales''''s premier jazz guitarist, the Anglesey-born and renowned Trefor Owen, and three more fine musicians including Paul Kilvington (keyboards), Bill Coleman (double bass) and Britain''''s leading Latin percussionist, Dave Hassell (drums).
