Jayne wants some Phoenix Nights.
The 32-year-old from Bedlington admitted she is hoping for a call from the writer-actor-comedian and said: "I quite fancy doing some acting.
"I don't know in what, though I'd quite like to do a bit of comedy. I want to be in Phoenix Nights. I keep saying this in the hope that Peter Kay might hear."
Meanwhile the former model has stepped into the shoes of Philippa Forrester to become the new female presenter of the smash hit TV show Robot Wars, which returns next month after making the switch from BBC2 to Five.
Middlemiss said she enjoyed filming Robot Wars, which starts next week, with Craig Charles.
"We shot it all in about six days and just had battle after battle. I was just getting so excited. I just love that whole violence without pain thing," she said.
But it was Middlemiss herself who ended up in the wars when the frantic pace of filming, combined with a stint on Channel 4 series The Games, left her bedridden.
"I came down with the worst flu," she said. "I think because on this show I was working so hard and then I went straight into something else, my body just said `you need to sleep'. I literally slept for four days."
