Jayne is voted `Golden Girl' of the Love Island.
Presenters Patrick Kielty and Kelly Brook announced the winners after the public voted who would win pounds 50,000 each.
Bedlington-born Jayne pipped Atomic Kitten singer Liz McClarnon to the winning female position.
As Liz left the island she said although the experience had been life changing she felt she hadn't found romance because she "hadn't got in there fast enough!"
Former footballer Lee Sharpe lost out to nightclub owner Fran in last night's final.
Before his exit Lee said his liaison with fellow contestant model Abi Titmuss had been "genuine".
Bookies Ladbrokes had presenter Jayne as the favourite to win at 1/10 with Fran at odds of 4/9. Lee and Liz were the outside bets at 13/8 and 11/2 respectively.
Jayne said it was "unbelievable" the public had voted for her to win.
She refused to comment on her feelings for footballer Lee Sharpe who "binned" her at the beginning of their stay.
But it wasn't good news for bookies William Hill who took a hit after the two hot favourites won. Jayne finished at 2/9 favourite
Spokesman Rupert Adams said: "We will be hoping to do better on Big Brother over the coming weeks."
