Jax YLS receives ABA kudos.

The Young Lawyers Section of the Jacksonville Bar Association was recently awarded top honors from the ABA Young Lawyers Division

The Jacksonville Bar Young Lawyers Section won three separate Awards of Achievement: Comprehensive Project Award--Special Recognition; Single Project (Service to the Public)--Special Recognition for the YLS Tee It Up Golf Tournament; and Single Project (Service to the Bar)--Second Place for the YLS Noon in June program.

The YLS Tee It Up Golf Tournament raised over $24,000 in 2009 for the Family Nurturing Center.

The YLS Noon in June program is geared toward summer associates clerking in Jacksonville and includes tours of the federal courthouse, city hall, and Jacksonville Area Legal Aid. The event also features numerous speeches and presentations from leaders in the Jacksonville community.

Noon in June also won the 2009 Florida Bar Young Lawyers Division's Outstanding Member Service Project Award.
