Jason Donahue Appointed Acsera Corporation President and Chief Executive Officer.

SUNNYVALE, Calif. -- Acsera(TM) Corporation, the leading provider of fully automated J2EE application performance management solutions for SOA-based applications, today announced the appointment of Jason Donahue as its President and Chief Executive Officer.

"Jason is an excellent addition to our team. He has an impressive background in the software industry, and brings the ideal perspective to take Acsera through its next stage of growth," said Allen Bannon, co-founder and former CEO of Acsera, who will continue to serve on the company's Board of Directors.

Jason has more than 15 years of experience in the management of technology startups as well as public companies. He has served as CEO of publicly-listed TeleComputing and Apptix, as well as venture-backed businesses Meiosys (acquired by IBM in 2005) and Ejasent (acquired by Veritas, now Symantec, in 2004). Jason has also served as an executive at IBM Corporation, Cap Gemini Ernst & Young, Beechwood (acquired by CGEY in 1999), and Telesphere Solutions (previously an ADC Telecommunications subsidiary). Jason brings extensive background in data center automation and management.

Founded in 2002, Acsera helps companies successfully monitor and manage large scale enterprise J2EE applications by assuring optimal performance and availability. The company provides real-time monitoring and alerting for availability, performance, load levels, errors, and faults with the industry's most advanced 24x7 Application Performance Monitoring (APM) technology. Unlike traditional performance management toolkits for J2EE, Acsera self-discovers all J2EE components and self-customizes, delivering value to customers in under 30 minutes. Acsera's model-based, heuristics-driven approach provides the only viable method to manage J2EE SOA applications from a services perspective.

"Acsera provides a very unique value proposition into the J2EE applications marketplace," said Jason Donahue. "J2EE is a powerful technology, but users have traditionally had to settle for relatively poor performance visibility to J2EE applications, particularly for more complex, distributed apps with portal and integration components. Additionally, traditional byte code instrumentation toolkits for J2EE have generally required months of professional services to implement. Acsera's automated, top-down approach is unparalleled in the industry today in its ease of implementation, ability to automatically reconfigure as the application changes, and unique top-down service-based visibility to application performance. I'm certain that Acsera is a company that can be grown substantially over the coming years, and I look forward to driving that growth."

The company plans to release Acsera Manager Version 6.0 into production in early summer of 2006. This release will dramatically extend Acsera's coverage of J2EE applications, addressing all of the Websphere and Weblogic universe. Acsera is privately held, and backed by leading venture investors 3i and Partech International.

Allen Bannon concluded, "The Board of Directors is very pleased with Jason's decision to join Acsera as we progress through new product releases and market expansion to fully support our customers for all layers of J2EE applications on WebLogic, WebSphere and other J2EE frameworks."

About Acsera

Acsera helps companies successfully deploy large-scale enterprise applications by delivering 24x7 Application Production Monitoring and Diagnostics for BEA WebLogic(R) and IBM WebSphere(R). Acsera automatically discovers and understands the application's architecture and logic. Based on this advanced understanding, it then automatically selects the correct metrics to be used for monitoring and management. It provides complete context and application hierarchy for all capabilities. And it automatically supports advanced Service Level Agreement (SLA) reporting and alerting in addition to production diagnostics for rapid problem isolation.

The results are compelling. By using Acsera Manager, customers can begin monitoring and managing applications in less than an hour after deployment, saving them more than a third of a million dollars per large application through elimination of manual configuration. And, because Acsera uses advanced automation for management, human error is virtually eliminated. Web:
