Japan Vilene posts sales.

Japan Vilene, Tokyo, Japan, recently posted sales results for its apparel materials division. Sales for the year March 1991 to March 1992 totaled nearly 19.9 billion [Yen], up from 18.2 billion [Yen] the year before. The breakdown of the sales figures saw 85% from apparel interlinings and 15% from apparel insulation.

The apparel materials division has set a sales goal of 30 billion [Yen] for 1996 with the breakdown of the sales ratio at 70% for existing use, 20% for new products and 10% for man-made leather. Future plans also call for expansion into the men's apparel field, where nonwovens have not traditionally played a role.
