Japan Vilene expands markets.

As part of an operation to expand markets and find new applications for its nonwoven materials, Japan Vilene, Tokyo, Japan, has begun the marketing of low partition fabric to be used as interior materials. Presently, woven fabrics dominate the Japanese interior fabric market, estimated to be 4.5 million square meters in size. Using needle punched nonwovens similar to automotive interior grade products, the company hopes to enter the low partition fabric market and achieve a level equal to the company's automotive interior business.
