Janina (Dulskis) Miliauskas, 83.

WORCESTER Janina (Dulskis) Miliauskas, 83, of Worcester, died Saturday, June 4, 2011 in her residence. Her husband of 33 years, Juozas Miliauskas died in 1987. She is survived by three children, Bernadette Harris and her husband, Caleb of Worcester, Teresa Ilgunas and her husband Algis of Hudson and Joseph Miliauskas of Worcester; five grandchildren, whom she cared for and loved very much, Anne and Rose Harris, Kaitlin, Kristin and Andrew Miliauskas; two great grandchildren, Jordan and Jaeanah Melendez and other family in Chicago, Lithuania and Canada. She was born in Budezeriai, Lithuania a daughter of Albinas and Ursula (Dubauskas) Dulskis, immigrating to the United States in 1949 with her mother then moving to Worcester in 1952.

Mrs. Miliauskas worked at Cornell-Dubilier Electric Company. She was very active in the Worcester Lithuanian Community. For many years, she served as the secretary and honorary member of the Lithuanian-American Roman Catholic Women's' Alliance and the Lithuanian National Guards. She was secretary for many years of the Auxiliary Guild of the Sisters of the Immaculate Conception of the Blessed Virgin Mary. Janina was a member of Maironis Park Lithuanian Charitable Society,the Lithuanian Art Lovers' Circle and a very active member of the former St. Casimer Parish. In March of 2003, she was honored at the annual St. Casimer Parish Dinner for her hard work. Janina was a correspondent for many years of "Draugas", (The Lithuanian World-wide Daily Newspaper) and a former weekly newspaper, "Darbininkas, the newsletters of the Lithuanian-American Roman Catholic Women's Alliance and the Sisters of the Immaculate Conception of the Blessed Virgin Mary. She also wrote the Saint Casimir Parish history in Lithuanian for the parish centennial anniversary in 1993 and was a member of the centennial committee. The most important things to her were her faith, her family and her beloved homeland, Lithuania.

The funeral will be held on Wednesday, June 8, from DIRSA-MORIN FUNERAL HOME, 298 Grafton St., with a Mass at 10:00 a.m. in St. John Church, 40 Temple St. Burial will be in Gate of Heaven Cemetery, Putnam, CT. Calling hours in the funeral home are Tuesday, June 7, from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Sisters of the Immaculate Conception of the Blessed Virgin Mary, 600 Liberty Highway, Putnam, CT, 06260-2503.
