Janet's braving 100mph challenge for St. David's Hospice.

SAINT David's Hospice employee Janet Magill, 58, from Llandudno Junction has been challenged by her fellow staff and volunteers to take part in the latest zip wire craze.

On September 28, the Hospice Administrator is taking part in the Zip World Velocity, the longest zip line in Europe and the fastest in the world, exceeding 100mph at 500ft over the quarries in Bethesda.

Janet, who has worked for the charity for 18 years, has taken part in many Hospice fundraisers including a fire walk, locked up in Jail 'n' Bail and walking Snowdon, but this is her ultimate challenge.

"I really don't like heights nor speeds, but I am not going to back down.

"It hasn't been easy to raise the sponsorship but thanks to my family and friends I have nearly reached my target. I really hope I achieve it." she explains " The Hospice is currently raising funds for new beds in the Inpatient Unit, and I would love to be able to help purchase one" Janet is PS300 short of her PS5,000 target. If you would like to help her reach it go to Magill-ZIPWIRE or send a donation to the Hospice in Abbey Road, Llandudno.

To join Janet on the Zip Wire call Agnes on 01492 873664.
