London, Nov 28 (ANI): Former Bond girl Jane Seymour has shed her brunette tresses for a trimmed redhead look in a new TV series.

The 57-year-old actress will play TV host turned detective in the ITV Global Entertainment television movie, Dear Prudence, which is to be turned into a series next year.

She plays an advice guru Prudence McCoy who, after hearing that the son of friends is found dead, becomes a crime-solving agony aunt.

"First of all, I just felt I should be a redhead with short hair," the Daily Express quoted Seymour as saying.

"It was quite a different feeling being a redhead, I must confess. I did it because I think Prudence is quite fiery and perky.

"She's a very strong-willed character. I kind of made her very English - even more English than I am!" she added. (ANI)
