James L. Lindsey, Sr.

CONCORD, NH James "Jim" L. Lindsey Sr., of Centerwood Dr., died early Wednesday morning, February 7, 2007 at Concord Hospital after battling a long illness. He was born on April 12, 1934 in Newark, NJ, the son of Lester and Edna (Rarick) Lindsey. Jim, as his family and friends knew him, had lived in several states before moving to Concord, NH about 13 years ago. He was married to Irene L. Alden on Dec. 27, 1980 in Simi Valley, CA.

He had worked primarily in sales and retail management, but also drove delivery trucks, and worked for various companies in the Worcester area for many years. After his retirement, Jim enjoyed driving for The Granite State Independent Living Foundation, and delivering medications for local pharmacies in Concord, NH.

His hobbies and interests included traveling, home photography, collecting classic movies, as well as music by various artists. He also enjoyed attending live shows performed by his favorite country music artists.

His family members include his wife of 26 years, Irene Lindsey of Concord, NH; 3 sons, Kevin Lindsey, Dennis Lindsey, and Brian Lindsey, all of MA; 2 daughters, Patricia Cote and Noreen Morgan, both of MA; 3 step daughters, Jeri Pillard of IA, Cindy Patterson and Mary Manzi, both of CA; a brother, Lester Lindsey Jr. of NJ; a sister, Charlotte Prusienky of NJ; 13 grandchildren; 7 great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

He was predeceased by 2 sons, Michael Lindsey in 1979, and James Lindsey Jr. in 2001; and a sister, Carol Faulkner, who passed away ten years ago.

There are no calling hours. Services may be held at a later date.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made in Mr. Lindsey's memory to the American Cancer Society, NH Division, 360 Route 101, Unit 8, Bedford, NH 03110.
