James Jones due in Islamabad on Feb 11.
Islamabad, February 05, 2010 (Frontier Star): US National Security
Advisor, James John will reach Islamabad on 11th February, Thursday for
a two-day visit. According to the sources James Jones during his visit
will meet President Asif Ali Zardari, Prime Minister Syed Yousuf Raza
Gilani, Army Chief Gen. Ashfaq Pervez Kiyani and other high officials.
His main objective is to take Pakistan in confidence on the matter of
new American policy regarding negotiations with Afghan Taliban;
moreover, further matters coming under the new policy will also be
discussed. James Jones will also discuss US Pakistan relations and he
will also discuss different security technologies and instruments, which
can be taken from America. Whereas, detailed discussion will be done on
the thorny issue regarding transfer of drone technology to Pakistan.
Pakistan's military and political authority will also bring forward
the American screening policy with James Jones; besides, they will also
talk on the issue to stop the Drone Attacks on Pakistan's soil.
