Jaguar SUV to cruise on Indian roads.

By Mail Today Bureau in New Delhi TATA Motors- owned Jaguar Land Rover will launch the first SUV from Jaguar stable, Jaguar F- PACE, in India on October 20, with a price tag ranging between Rs 68.40 lakh and Rs 1.13 crore ( ex- showroom Delhi) across models, the company said.

Customers can now book it online or through any of the 23 authorised Jaguar retailers located near them, Jaguar Land Rover India said in a statement.

Jaguar Land Rover India Ltd ( JLRIL) president Rohit Suri said the launch of F- PACE in India on October 20 will mark a significant milestone in the expansion of Jaguar's product offering in India.

The Jaguar F- PACE will be available in India in two options of 2- litre and 3- litre diesel engines. It comes in four derivatives which are priced at Rs 68.40 lakh, Rs 74.50 lakh, Rs 1.02 crore and Rs 1.13 crore.

" The new Jaguar F- PACE is a performance SUV that has the DNA of a sports car,'' the company said in a press release.

Jaguar F- PACE comes with the 2.0 l ( litre) 4- cylinder 132 kW Turbocharged Ingenium diesel engine and a 3.0 l ( litre) V6 Turbocharged Diesel engine that offers power to 221 kW and torque to an impressive 700 Nm for improved performance and excellent drivability.

The body sides, bonnet and front wings of FPACE have been made using aluminium.

" Jaguar F- PACE's Torque Vectoring by braking maximises capability through even the tightest corners. Torque Vectoring technology provides controlled independent braking on the individual inside front and rear wheels to add to the turning forces acting on the car," the company said.
