Jaffari Endowment lauds King's directives, vision.

Manama, Apr. 21 (BNA): The Jaffari Endowment Council has welcomed the directives of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa regarding alternative punishments and the reinstatement of the citizenship of 551 convicts.

The council said that the directives would significantly contribute to the reunification of families and to the re-arrangement of the status of the convicted individuals with their families.

"Such noble directives prove that His Majesty the King, as a great leader, is keen on the interest and wellbeing of his people," the council said.

"They also widen horizons for Bahrain's prosperous present and bright future under His Majesty's leadership. Bahrain will keep moving forward with unswerving determination towards further progress, reform and sustainable development."

Shaikh Mohsen bin Shaikh Abdulhussain Khalaf Al Asfoor, the chairman of the council, expressed deep gratitude to HM the King for his decision and paid tribute to his vision and leadership.

"We do value HM's determination for more reforms and we stress that such noble directives are part of his plans towards further glory and prosperity for his people. His reform process has included everyone, offered wider prospects for more freedoms and given religious practices greater opportunities."

Al Asfoor said that the directives would remain a bright chapter in Bahrain's history.

"We pray to the Almighty to preserve the Kingdom of Bahrain and bless it with security, safety, stability and prosperity as it promotes the values of fraternity and tolerance and reinforces the nation-building process under HM the King's wise leadership."
