Jacobson Resonance Enterprises Announces Preliminary Data From University Of Oklahoma Studies Provide Strong Evidence That The Jacobson Resonator Can Non-Invasively Regulate Heart Rate In Dogs.

BOCA RATON, Fla., May 20 /PRNewswire/ -- Jacobson Resonance Enterprises, Inc. (OTC Bulletin Board: JRSE) announced today that preliminary data from studies conducted at the University of Oklahoma Health Sciences Center utilizing the Jacobson Resonator have provided strong evidence that low-level magnetic fields can cause either slowing or speeding of heart rate and associated alterations in conduction from atria to ventricles.

For the past several months, Benjamin Scherlag, Professor of Medicine; and William Yamanashi, Professor of Medicine at the V.A. Medical Center, Cardiovascular Section, in collaboration with Dr. Jerry Jacobson, Chairman and CEO of Jacobson Resonance Enterprises, Inc. have conducted experiments using pico-tesla electromagnetic fields applied across the chest in anesthetized dogs. The resulting changes in heart rate and conduction of the cardiac impulse from atria to ventricles suggested that these low-level fields (intensity and frequency) were affecting autonomic nerves to the heart. On the basis of those results, recent studies by the team have focused on direct exposure of the vago-sympathetic nerve trunk in the neck to pico-tesla electromagnetic fields. The slowing or speeding of the heart is consonant with enhancement of either parasympathetic input to the heart (slowing of the heart rate and atrioventricular conduction) or sympathetic action causing speeding of the heart rate and atrioventricular conduction.

Ongoing research will concentrate on establishing the optimal levels of pico-tesla electromagnetic fields to induce specific alterations in heart rate and cardiac conduction.
