Jack R. Kadis.

WORCESTER Jack R. Kadis, 90, of 770 Salisbury St. died on Tuesday, April 10th in UMass Memorial Healthcare after an illness.

His beloved wife of 61 years, Beverly (Silverman) Kadis died on February 15th, 2007. He leaves his devoted son and caregiver, Michael Kadis; a daughter, Leslie wife of Michael ODonnell of Raymond, NH; two sisters, Sybil Hass and Belle Aframe, both of Florida and two grandsons, Christopher Glode of Prineville, Oregon and Jeremy Glode of New Orleans; and his wonderful friends, Elizabeth and Brianna OBrien. He was pre-deceased by his brother, Philip Kadis and by his sister, Sarah Gould.

He was born in Worcester, a son of Max and Ida (Miller) Kadasevitz and was a lifelong resident. He graduated from Classical High School in 1934.

He worked many years in the office supply business. He was vice president of the former Palley Office Supply and also worked at the former Palsons before his retirement.

He was a member of Temple Emanuel, the Commonwealth Lodge of BNai Brith, the Damascus Lodge of Knights of Pythias and was a volunteer ambassador for the Tufts Secure Horizons program.

Funeral services will be held at 1 PM on FRIDAY, APRIL 13TH in Perlman Funeral Home, 1026 Main St. Burial will be in BNai Brith Cemetery.

Memorial contributions may be made to a charity of the donors choice.

Memorial Observance will be announced.
