Jack Jones stages year-end concerts.

International music icon Jack Jones will hold his year-ender concerts starting today at the Kia Theatre (formerly New Frontier Theater). His dinner show will be held at the Monet Ballroom of Novotel Manila, Araneta Center tomorrow, Dec. 30, 8 p.m.

Produced by ManCo Productions, Inc. and Royale Chimes Concerts and Events, Inc., the show is titled "Jack Jones Sings Songs From The Heart." This is Jack's last concert in 2015 and he is excited to be doing it in the Philippines, a country very close to his heart.

"It is always a pleasure performing to the Filipino audience because of their love for music. There's a lot of great singers as well so it's like one sing-along party whenever I'm on stage trying to listen to them. I'm looking forward to this show because this is the first time I will be spending Christmas season, and almost New Year, in the Philippines. I heard that Filipinos are one of the best in celebrating this time of the year," says the great singer.

And yes, Jack will perform his signature songs plus well-loved covers and tracks from his recently-released CD called "Seriously Frank," an album which celebrates and pays tribute to what would have been the 100th birthday of Frank Sinatra.

Adding excitement to the show is special guest Jose Mari Chan. When Jack learned that his friend Jose Mari will be appearing in the show, he immediately called him and both agreed to do a very special production number. This will surely become one of the highlights of the show.

Another guest who will definitely light up the stage is "Asia's Got Talent" second-runner up Gerphil Flores.

Part of the proceeds of the show will be donated to Kaagapay ng Tagaligtas, Inc., a non-stock, non-profit organization dedicated primarily to raising funds and organizing programs for the benefit of the orphans and dependents of the Forty-Four (44) Special Action Force personnel (SAF 44) who were killed in action during anti-terrorist operations conducted in Tukalinapao, Mamasapano, Maguindanao early this year.

Tickets to "Jack Jones Sings Songs From The Heart" are available at the Ticketnet.

PVB LAUNCHES COFFEE-TABLE BOOK

The Philippine Veterans Bank (PVB), together with Spyron-AV Manila, launched recently the coffee-table book "Unsurrendered 2: The Hunters-ROTC Guerrillas" at the QXC Interactive Museum at the Quezon Memorial Circle in Diliman, Quezon City. Special guest of honor was former Pres. Fidel V. Ramos. The film docu of the same title was released in September.

Through this book, it is hoped that the generation of today will not only associate the liberation of the Philippines with General Douglas MacArthur but will also come to know our very own World War II heroes like Miguel Ver, Eleuterio "Terry" Adevoso, Supremo Frisco "Popoy" San Juan, Emmanuel "Maning" de Ocampo, and Gustavo "Tabo" Ingles.

Officials from both PVB and Spyron-AV welcomed the guests, among them PVB Chairman:CEO Roberto de Ocampo, OBE, and PVB Chairman Emeritus Col. Emmanuel de Ocampo, one of the Hunters leaders.
