JabberConf Europe

Jabber, Inc., a leading developer of software for extensible instant messaging (IM), whose investors include Webb Interactive Services, Inc. (OTCBB:WEBB) and France Telecom (NYSE:FTE), today announced that over 40 companies will be attending the upcoming JabberConf Europe conference in Munich, Germany, June 12-14.

JabberConf Europe 2002 brings together the leading application developers, service providers, and enterprises who are building real-time collaboration applications around the Jabber protocol. This first conference in Europe reflects the growing popularity of the Jabber platform and the open Jabber protocol. Attending the conference will be representatives from companies including BellSouth Corporation, Wanadoo, Dresdner Bank, Wireless Village and AT&T.

"Since opening the Jabber, Inc. European office in April, the level of European developer activity I have seen around Jabber has been amazing," according to Mark Troyer, Managing Director of Jabber, Inc. in Europe. "This is a chance for both the commercial and open source Jabber communities to take advantage of the momentum that is building."

JabberConf is for developers, executives, product managers, and IS management who are building or deploying applications for real-time communications and Instant Messaging. Starting with the Jabber open source project, the Jabber movement now encompasses commercial efforts world wide, including Jabber, Inc., the commercial software company.
