Finnish engineering and consulting company Jaakko Poyry Group Oyj said on Monday (12 September) that its subsidiary Electrowatt-Ekono AG had been awarded two contracts for engineering services in waste-to-energy plant replacement investment projects in the cities of Winterthur and Bern, Switzerland.
The assignments cover the first phases of the projects and amount to EUR1.0m, the company said.

In the Bern waste-to-energy plant project an innovative solution is introduced by combining a waste boiler with a gas turbine and bio fuel boiler, according to the company.
Electrowatt-Ekono's services comprise the technical, commercial and operational concept of the cogeneration plant.
