JUVENTUS ACADEMY OMAN EXCELS AT UNDER 12'S GCC CLUB SERIES IN DUBAI.

Recently, Juventus Academy Oman travelled to Dubai with 22 players, to take part in the Under 12's GCC Juventus Club Series. The matches were played for over two days at a national stadium in Dubai.

Along with three Juventus Dubai teams, the other participating teams were, Juventus Academy Bahrain, three teams from Juventus Academy Saudi Arabia, one team from Abu Dhabi, one team from RAK and two teams from Juventus Academy Kuwait.

Each team played a total of 14 matches over the two groups and two days. Both Juventus Academy Oman teams had fantastic campaigns, and gave 100 percent in all matches. The two-day tournament was full of high level football, and Juventus Academy Oman made it to the plate finals. Juventus Academy Oman vs KSA was the match-up for the finals. The match started at a high pace, in which both teams battled for goals. As the match continued, Juventus Academy Oman started to dominate and take control of the match. Oman missed a penalty but did not give up. After both teams playing well, the match ended in a 0-0 draw, which resulted in a penalty shootout. Juventus Academy Oman had a fantastic campaign, and ended day 2 unbeaten, and champions of the Plate, Juventus Academy Oman won on penalties.

Coach Davis and Coach Marcello from Juventus Academy Oman said, 'We are extremely proud of how the boys represented themselves and Juventus Academy Oman. Tournaments are so important in players' development, as they allow them to gain so much experience, and they are able to build some amazing relationships with each other, which always helps in a team sport such as football. Here at Juventus Academy Oman we like to build people before players. The boys are excited to bring the trophy back to Oman.'

Juventus Academy Oman looks forward to January 18 and 19, 2019 when they will host the under 8s Juventus Club Series Tournament.
