JUDD NAMED GENERAL MANAGER OF E-SYSTEMS MELPAR DIVISION

 DALLAS, Sept. 1 /PRNewswire/ -- E-Systems (NYSE: ESY) today announced the promotion of Dr. L. F. "Larrie" Judd to vice president and general manager for the company's Melpar Division located in both Falls Church and Ashburn (University Center), Va.
 Judd, who was vice president of the government programs business sector at E-Systems Garland (Texas) Division, has been with E-Systems since 1972. He reports to Dr. Terry Heil, E-Systems senior vice president, and replaces Talbot Huff who has been named vice president of strategic market development for E-Systems Government and International operations in Washington.
 Judd's recent responsibilities included many R&D and production programs including high performance digital processing systems, advanced receivers and advanced system technologies. Since joining E-Systems, Judd has held management positions of increasing responsibilities. He served as vice president of electronic warfare from 1985 to 1988.
 Dr. Judd graduated from Texas Tech University with BS, MS and PhD degrees in Electrical Engineering in 1965, 1967 and 1969 respectively. In 1988 he received the Distinguished Engineering Award from Texas Tech.
 The Melpar Division of E-Systems is a leading supplier of remotely controlled reconnaissance, signal processing and communication systems. Approximately 2000 people are employed there.
 E-Systems is a major worldwide developer and producer of electronics systems and products in the areas of intelligence, reconnaissance and surveillance systems, command and control, specialized aircraft maintenance and modification, guidance, navigation and control, communications and data systems.
