JOSTENS 3-PEATS WITH CHICAGO BULLS

MINNEAPOLIS, Aug. 3 /PRNewswire/ -- The Chicago Bulls have once again chosen Jostens' (NYSE: JOS) Recognition Division to craft their NBA championship rings, a "back-to-back-to-back" performance for both teams.
"This account is particularly gratifying because of the intense competition to win such a high profile account," said John Shields, vice president-sports marketing of Jostens' Recognition Division. While the ring design will remain confidential until it is unveiled to players in September, Shields said the ring is one of the most creatively designed championship rings ever. Once again, Martyl Reinsdorf, wife of Chicago Bulls owner Jerry Reinsdorf, worked with Jostens designers Denny Elliott in Princeton, Ill., and Charlie Anderson in Owatonna, Minn.
Bulls players and coaches will receive their championship rings during pregame ceremonies Nov. 6 at Chicago Stadium. Jostens is designing and developing a unique presentation case for each player's championship ring, watch and a distinctive medallion to commemorate the Bulls' third consecutive NBA championship.
In addition to producing the team's 1993 championship rings and watches, Reinsdorf has contracted with Jostens to produce pendants for staff and spouses.
Jostens' facilities involved in the Chicago Bulls account include its Recognition plant in Princeton, Ill., which will produce the championship rings, and Jostens Sportswear in Overland Park, Kan., which is involved in manufacturing Bulls' sportswear items, including one of the hottest selling T-shirts in Chicago.
Besides crafting the championship rings for the Chicago Bulls the last three years, Jostens has produced NBA championship rings for the Detroit Pistons, Los Angeles Lakers and Boston Celtics. Other recent champions to choose Jostens include the National League champion Atlanta Braves, American Football Conference champion Buffalo Bills, NCAA football and men's basketball champions Alabama and North Carolina respectively, and Indianapolis 500 drivers and head mechanics.
Jostens Inc., based in Minneapolis, is a leading provider of products and services for the youth, education, sports award and recognition markets. A Fortune 500 company since 1985, Jostens is listed on the New York Exchange under the symbol "JOS" and last year reported sales of $915 million.
