JOSTENS' RECOGNITION DIVISION WINS AT&T ACCOUNT

MINNEAPOLIS, Feb. 9 /PRNewswire/ -- Jostens (NYSE: JOS) announced today that its Memphis-based Recognition Division has been selected by AT&T to provide employee service awards through a three- to five-year, estimated $25 million to $40 million contract. The AT&T contract, believed to be the largest employee service award program in the world, is scheduled to begin Jan. 1, 1994.
"Jostens was our clear choice," said Frank Caporelli, AT&T human resources manager. "We were impressed by the overall proposal and considered it a superior offering. We are very confident that Jostens will provide the quality of service and product that AT&T demands."
AT&T evaluated the industry leaders in the recognition and awards business for more than a year and designated Jostens as its vendor of choice.
"When AT&T reaches out to touch its employees, Jostens will be there," said Bruce Pratt, president of Jostens' Recognition Division. An estimated 57,000 AT&T employees annually receive awards recognizing various service anniversaries, as well as retirement gifts.
"It was a strong team effort, which resulted in this important win for Jostens," Pratt added.
The presentation included customized jewelry prepared by Jostens employees in Princeton, Ill.; full packaging; and systems enhancements utilizing AT&T's own technology for electronic order entry.
AT&T, a communications and computer company, has 312,000 employees worldwide and annual revenues exceeding $63 billion. Its headquarters are in New York, and its Human Resource Office Center is in Morristown, N.J.
