JON KLEIN NAMED PRESIDENT OF IDB MOBILE COMMUNICATIONS

 WASHINGTON, Jan. 19 /PRNewswire/ -- IDB Communications Group Inc. (NASDAQ: IDBX) today announced the promotion of Jon Klein to president of IDB MOBILE Communications Inc., a joint venture with IDB and Teleglobe International Inc. of Canada. In his new position, Klein will oversee all three areas of IDB MOBILE: maritime, land mobile and aeronautical. Klein will report directly to the IDB MOBILE Board of Directors.
 Klein has guided IDB MOBILE since its inception in 1990, presiding over the development and rollout of its extensive service offerings. IDB MOBILE projects end of year 1992 revenues in excess of 17 million dollars.
 "Jon has played a key role in the development of IDB MOBILE," stated Edward R. Cheramy, president of IDB. "His expertise has enabled the company to successfully capture significant market share and we anticipate 1993 revenues will exceed 35 million dollars."
 Klein joined IDB MOBILE in 1990 from the Communication Satellite Corp. (COMSAT) where he headed the international maritime communications sale group. Prior to COMSAT, Klein was vice president of Maritime Operations at Sea-Land Service Inc. controlling more than 60 vessels around the globe for the largest container shipping company in the United States.
 IDB MOBILE, based in Washington, D.C., markets maritime and land- mobile satellite communications services to users including commercial shipping fleets, fishing vessels, pleasure cruises, oil rigs and tankers and remote land operations.
 Teleglobe International Inc. is a subsidiary of Teleglobe Inc. (TSE: TGO) of Montreal, Canada, as is Teleglobe Canada Inc., Canada's overseas telecommunications carrier.
 IDB operates a domestic and international communications network which provides its customers with radio and television transmission services, international private line telephones, facsimile and data connections, mobile satellite communications capabilities and international public-switched long distance telephone services.
