A PROFESSIONAL ballet dancer has launched adult-only classes in Liverpool.

Neil Towers, who trained at the Northern Ballet School and danced professionally with Slovak National Ballet, has expanded a scheme already running in Manchester.

He has danced since the age of 11 and feels the pastime can be as beneficial for everyone as it was for himself.

The classes are part of a new branch of KNT Danceworks.

Neil said: "We originally started the classes in Manchester because that was where we trained to dance ourselves.

"We felt the dance world had an exclusive feeling and was intimidating to non-dancers.

"Many people just do not think they can understand dance, but they do not realise how easy it is to get immersed in."

KNT Danceworks Liverpool holds its classes at The Elliott Clarke Theatre School, in Sefton Street.
