JOHUD, EU's green energy program sign agreement.
Amman, March 27 (Petra) - The Jordanian Hashemite Fund for Human Development (JOHUD) and the European Program for Technical Support of Green Energy and Energy Conservation in Jordan, funded by the European Union (EU), signed an agreement on Wednesday to strengthen cooperation and coordination between the two parties in the renewable energy sector. The agreement aims to provide technical support for the energy and environment projects implemented by the fund and its centers in the various governorates, and to provide training to its cadres in the fields of renewable energy, efficiency and capacity building through the preparation of specialized training materials. The Executive Director of JOHUD, Farah Dagestani, and the Head of Technical Assistance for the Renewable Energy and Energy Efficiency Program in Jordan, Emile Assi, signed the agreement, in the presence of the European Union Ambassador in Amman Andrea Fontana. The signing of the agreement comes within the framework of the fund's interest in the renewable energy sector and its efforts to preserve the environment by deepening and consolidating the concepts of green economy and sustainable clean energy in cooperation with the EU's program to help achieve the objectives of comprehensive and sustainable development. The agreement also aims to support and develop the fund's capacity building in the renewable energy and energy efficiency sectors and to enhance its role in spreading awareness of renewable energy through the fund's centers in the Kingdom and to introduce REEE II-TA activities, vision and programs. //Petra// AG More to follow... 27/03/2019 14:25:27
