JOHNSTOWN SAVINGS BANK ANNOUNCES NEW BRANCH OPENING IN GALLERIA
JOHNSTOWN, Pa., Oct. 8 /PRNewswire/ -- Johnstown Savings Bank, FSB (NASDAQ: JSBK) today announced the planned opening of its newest branch office in the Johnstown Galleria Mall.
The Galleria branch office will be the bank's sixth full-service retail banking facility located in the Greater Johnstown area. The bank will also operate a total of three automated teller machines within the Galleria.
Patrick J. Coyne, president and chief executive officer, stated that the new branch will be opened as soon as possible following completion of construction. He noted that management anticipates opening the new office before the end of November 1992 and that the bank already has opened several business accounts for other Galleria tenants. He emphasized that the full range of business and personal banking services presently available to Big J customers is immediately available to the bank's future Galleria customers. "We will service new Galleria branch accounts from our nearby Richland Mall and East Hills branches until the Galleria branch office is completed," he explained.
Coyne said that the bank would continue to operate both the Richland Mall and East Hills branches once the Galleria branch opens. He stated that, in the view of the bank's management, the Johnstown Galleria is an exceptional retail development project and that the best interests of the bank's customers and stockholders could be served by expansion at this time.
"As Cambria County's first and oldest bank, we have a strong history and have built a reputation for offering the highest standards in our customer service," Coyne said. "This new branch office is part of our ongoing commitment to provide the area with the finest banking services available."
Johnstown Savings Bank is a federally chartered, FDIC-insured savings bank which conducts its business through five offices in the Greater Johnstown area and through its wholly owned subsidiary, Standard Mortgage Corporation of Georgia, located in Atlanta.
