JOHNSON CONTROLS PURCHASES U.K. PLASTIC CONTAINER PLANT MILWAUKEE, Jan. 27 /PRNewswire/ -- Johnson Controls, Inc.
(NYSE: JCI) (JCI) today announced that it has purchased Pacplas Limited from John Waddington PLC.
The Pacplas facility is located in Wales and is a leading supplier of P.E.T. plastic preforms to soft drink bottlers in the United Kingdom. Pacplas annual sales approximate $20 million. Johnson Controls, the largest supplier of P.E.T. plastic bottles to the U.S. market, said this acquisition gives it a presence in the United Kingdom, Europe's largest plastic container market. In Europe, Johnson Controls currently operates plastics facilities in Belgium and Italy. Johnson Controls is a leader in facility management and controls systems, automotive seating, batteries and plastics. Founded in 1885, it operates in more than 450 locations worldwide.
