MILWAUKEE, Nov. 17 /PRNewswire/ -- The board of directors of Johnson Controls, Inc. (NYSE: JCI) today increased the quarterly cash dividend on common shares to $.36 per share from $.34. The dividend is payable Jan. 3, 1994 to shareholders of record Dec. 3, 1993.
With the increase, the indicated annual dividend rate for fiscal 1994 is $1.44 per share, up from $1.36 in 1993.

The action makes fiscal 1994 the 19th consecutive year that Johnson Controls has increased dividends on its shares.
Johnson Controls today also elected Southwood (Woody) J. Morcott as a director to its board.
Morcott, 55, is Chairman, President and Chief Executive Officer of Dana Corporation, an automotive parts and industrial components manufacturer headquartered in Toledo, Ohio. He was named CEO of the company in August, 1989.
