 JOHN WILLIAM PODUSKA, SR., ELECTED NEW BOARD MEMBER OF CTP, INC.
 CAMBRIDGE, Mass., Sept. 16 /PRNewswire/ -- John William Poduska, Sr. was recently elected to the board of Cambridge Technology Partners (CTP, Inc.), Cambridge. The announcement was made today by James K. Sims, president and CEO of CTP, Inc. and Chairman of the Board Warren V. Musser.
 Dr. Poduska, the founder of Prime, Apollo and Stardent and Advanced Visual Systems, Inc. (AVS) technology firms, brings over 20 years of entrepreneurial experience to CTP's board. "We are honored to have Bill among the board members," commented Sims. "He has experienced growing technology businesses from start-up ventures to major market share organizations, and that's what our objective is at CTP." Chairman of the Board Musser commented, "Bill Poduska is a perfect addition to the board; he brings new depth of technology experience."
 Most recently, Dr. Poduska is founder and chairman of Advanced Visual Systems, Inc. (AVS), a provider of visualization software. In addition to CTP's board, he currently serves on the boards of Safeguard Scientifics, Xyvision and Xylogics corporations.
 Poduska has been honored for his accomplishments over the years. Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) gave him the Corporate Leadership Award. The Computer Museum of Boston, where he served as chairman of the board, dedicated an auditorium in his honor and he was chosen as Arthur Young/Venture Magazine's 1987 Master Entrepreneur in High Technology in June of 1987. Formerly, Poduska was a distinguished faculty member of MIT, his alma mater, where he received Ph.D., M.S. and B.S. degrees.
