JOHN W. CHIERICHELLA JOINS FRIED FRANK'S WASHINGTON OFFICE

 NEW YORK, Jan. 18 /PRNewswire/ -- Fried, Frank, Harris, Shriver & Jacobson announced today that John W. Chierichella has joined the firm as a partner in its Washington office. Mr. Chierichella was most recently a partner in the Washington, D.C. office of Jones, Day, Reavis & Pogue (1987-1993).
 Mr. Chierichella, 45, is nationally known for his expertise in government contract litigation and counseling. His practice includes the representation of major companies in prime contractor/subcontractor disputes, teaming agreements, bid protests, foreign military sales, judicial challenges to contract awards and administrative appeals. He has written and lectured extensively on these subjects and the federal procurement process, including foreign procurement and product liability problems of Government contractors.
 Thomas P.  Fried Frank's Litigation/Government Contracts Department now consists of 41 lawyers and counsels many major government and defense contractors in civil and criminal matters. Chierichella's announcement was preceded in the last four months by announcements that Ambassador William H. Taft, IV, J. Gail Brancroft and Lynda Troutman O'Sullivan had joined the firm.
 Prior to entering private practice, Mr. Chierichella was an attorney/advisor to the Secretary, Office of the General Counsel, Department of the Air Force (1973-1975), where he specialized in major systems acquisitions.
 Mr. Chierichella received his J.D. from Columbia University (1972) and his A.B. from Cornell University (1969).
