 JOHN JACOBS NAMED SENIOR VICE PRESIDENT, WORLDWIDE MEDIA
 FOR WARNER BROS. PICTURES
 BURBANK, Calif., Oct. 14 /PRNewswire/ -- John Jacobs has been appointed senior vice president, Worldwide Media for Warner Bros. Pictures, it was announced today by Robert G. Friedman, Warner president of Worldwide Advertising and Publicity.
 Jacobs, who joined Warner Bros. in 1986 as vice president of Media, previously spent 13 years with Grey Advertising. During his tenure with the studio, he has overseen media buying on a wide array of films, including this summer's blockbusters, "Batman Returns" and "Lethal Weapon 3."
 Stated Friedman, "John is a key member of a team that has been consistently successful in the marketing of Warner Bros. films. Now, with the increasing importance of worldwide box office revenue, John's judgment, experience and expertise will strengthen our global activities in this vital area. We congratulate him on this well- deserved promotion."
 During the years he spent at Grey Advertising, Jacobs supervised media on the Warner Bros. and Warner Home Video accounts, as well as RCA, ABC-TV, Murdoch Publishing and Radio City Music Hall, among others. He was also instrumental in developing a sports marketing campaign for Canon cameras.
 Born and raised in New York City, Jacobs is a graduate of Syracuse University's Newhouse School of Communications. He is currently based at Warner Bros.' Burbank headquarters.
