 JOHN HEGEMAN APPOINTED VICE-PRESIDENT, ORION CLASSICS
 NEW YORK, March 18 /PRNewswire/ -- John Hegeman has been named Vice-


President, Orion Classics, it was announced today by Leonard White, President and Chief Executive Officer of Orion Pictures Corporation.
 Hegeman will oversee and coordinate all marketing and distribution activities of the Orion division. He will report directly to White, and is based at Orion headquarters in New York.
 White stated, "John Hegeman brings to this position a solid understanding of the marketplace and strategic planning for releases. We value his well-grounded, structured approach to the business."
 Hegeman added, "The previous management acquired and distributed some of the most highly acclaimed films of the last decade. During the coming months, we at Orion Classics look forward to continuing this tradition of quality for pictures currently in the market place, and the unreleased acquisitions."
 Hegeman was most recently Executive Director, Marketing and Distribution Services for Orion Pictures Distribution, where he worked with the President in creating marketing and distribution strategies for major hits such as "Dances with Wolves," Mermaids," "The Silence of the Lambs" and "Little Man Tate." In addition, he established Orion's Marketing Research Department and supervised all Home Office distribution staff and activities.
 Prior to that, he served as Executive Assistant to the President of Orion Pictures Distribution in 1990, and as Metropolitan Sales Representative from 1988 to 1990. Before joining Orion, Hegeman was National Marketing Director for United Film Distribution Company.
