 JOHN GRANT TO LEAD FORD FINANCIAL SERVICES INTERNATIONAL EXPANSION
 DEARBORN, Mich., June 25 /PRNewswire/ -- John A.M. Grant has been appointed executive director, International Financing and Planning, for the Ford Financial Services Group, Kenneth Whipple, Group president, announced today.
 "John's international, treasury and strategic planning experience will provide Group direction to identify, evaluate and execute our global expansion," said Mr. Whipple. "His primary assignment will be to develop and implement growth strategies for the Group in key international markets."
 Mr. Grant, 46, was previously deputy chairman of Jaguar Cars Limited. He joined Ford of Europe's Finance Staff in 1967 and subsequently held a number of financial positions with Ford in Europe and with the company's Corporate Finance Staff in Dearborn.
 He was named Ford of Europe treasurer in 1985 and vice president of business strategy in 1987. He was appointed executive director of the Corporate Strategy and Diversification Planning Staff in Dearborn in 1989 and moved to Jaguar as deputy chairman in January 1990 following its acquisition by Ford.
 Mr. Grant was born in Belfast, Northern Ireland. He has a bachelor's degree in economics from Queen's University, Belfast, and an MBA from Cranfield School of Management in England. He is a Fellow of the Association of Corporate Treasurers in Britain.
 The Financial Services Group, Ford's second core business, includes Ford Motor Credit Company, The Associates, First Nationwide Financial Corporation and U.S. Leasing International. It has assets of $122 billion and earned $927 million in 1991.
