JOHN DEERE CAPITAL TO REDEEM DEBENTURES

 MOLINE, Ill., Aug. 4 /PRNewswire/ -- John Deere Capital Corp., a subsidiary of Deere & Company (NYSE: DE), today announced that it has elected to redeem on Sept. 7, 1993, all of its outstanding 7-1/2 percent debentures due 1998. The redemption price will be equal to the principal amount of the Debentures plus interest to the date of redemption. Payment will be made upon presentation and surrender of the Debentures at Morgan Guaranty Trust Company of New York, Corporate Trust Operations Department, Tellers and Mail Unit, 55 Exchange Place - Basement A, New York, N.Y., 10015 or The First National Bank of Chicago, 1 North State Street, 9th Floor, One First National Plaza, Chicago, Ill. 60602.
