JOEY BARTON made his Marseille debut last night as the French side grabbed a last-gasp draw against Fenerbahce.

The England midfielder (above) was making his first appearance in four months following his dismissal for QPR against Manchester City on the last day of last season.

Andre Ayew headed a dramatic injury-time equaliser as Marseille fought back from two goals down to salvage a point from their Europa League Group C opener.

Fener looked on course for the points thanks to goals from Caner Erkin and Alex but Mathieu Valbuena halved the deficit in the 82nd minute before Ayew's last-gasp strike.

Eduardo Vargas struck a superb hat-trick as Serie A side Napoli got their Europa League Group F campaign off to a flying start with a 4-0 victory over AIK in Italy.
