JOE HYAMS NAMED EXECUTIVE VICE PRESIDENT, SPECIAL PROJECTS FOR WARNER BROS. BURBANK, Calif., Oct. 7 /PRNewswire/ -- Joe Hyams has been appointed executive vice president, Special Projects for Warner Bros., it was announced today by Robert G. Friedman, Warner President of Worldwide Theatrical Advertising and Publicity. Stated Friedman, "Joe Hyams is one of a kind. In his 32 years at Warner Bros., he's developed close working relationships with such major talents as Clint Eastwood, Stanley Kubrick, Francois Truffaut, Federico Fellini, Oliver Stone, David Puttnam, Barbra Streisand, Robert Redford and John Wayne, and has earned the respect of the entire industry. Hyams joined Warner Bros. in 1960 as national advertising and publicity director, following work in the publicity departments of 20th Century Fox, Columbia Pictures and several independent production entities, including Hecht-Hill-Lancaster and Batjac Productions.
