JOAN RIVERS AND QVC ANNOUNCE CONTRACT RENEWAL

 WEST CHESTER, Pa., July 22 /PRNewswire/ -- QVC (NASDAQ: QVCN), the nation's largest shopping channel, today announced the renewal of its contract for "The Joan Rivers Classics Collection" of jewelry with Regal Communications and its subsidiary, Joan Rivers Products, Inc.
 "The Joan Rivers Classics Collection" includes necklaces, bracelets, watches, pins and earrings ranging from $25 to $125. The collection was introduced to QVC viewers in the fall of 1990, and to date has totaled more than $45 million in orders. The contract also grants QVC the exclusive television rights to market the collection in the U.K., Mexico and Canada as well as the United States.
 Commenting on the announcement, Arthur Toll, chairman and CEO of Regal Communications, and Joan Rivers, executive vice president, stated, "QVC's renewal is further validation of the popularity of `The Joan Rivers Classics Collection.' We are particularly pleased that the license also extends to the international marketplace and are enthusiastic about the prospects."
 Doug Briggs, executive vice president-Electronic Retailing, said, "`The Joan Rivers Classics Collection' is a first-class line that has consistently performed well for QVC. We are pleased to be renewing this successful partnership."

 Regal Communications, through its wholly owned subsidiary, Regal Group, Inc., is a major producer and distributor of direct response television marketing. Regal also develops and markets information and entertainment programs for the pay-per-call consumer market known as Audiotex.
 QVC is transmitted live, 24 hours a day, seven days a week. It currently reaches more than 44 million homes via cable, and three million homes with satellite dishes from coast to coast.
