 JIM MANZI TO SPEAK AT MASSACHUSETTS COMPUTER SOFTWARE
 COUNCIL FALL MEMBERSHIP MEETING
 BOSTON, Nov. 10 /PRNewswire/ -- Jim Manzi, president and CEO of Lotus Development Corporation, will discuss the importance of an integrated communications and networking strategy within organizations and how communications fits into the future of computing at the Massachusetts Computer Software Council's fall membership meeting on Thursday, Nov. 12. The meeting will take place at the Newton Marriott Hotel, Commonwealth Avenue at the Mass Pike and Route 128. Manzi's speech is scheduled to begin at 7:15 p.m.
 Also at the meeting, Mitchell Kapor, chairman of ON Technology, and president of Electronic Frontier Foundation, will give an update on the Computer Crime Commission, which he chairs.
 The Software Council will also release the latest results of the Software Industry Barometer Survey, conducted in cooperation with Arthur Andersen & Company. The survey focuses on the growth of the Massachusetts software industry.
 A cocktail reception, sponsored by IBM Software Industry Marketing, will begin at 5 p.m. During the reception, Communicator Assystance Systems, Cadre Technologies, Lotus Development Corporation, IBM, Picture Tel, Progress Software Corporation, and the RBS Group will run product demonstrations. Dinner begins at 6 p.m. The press is invited to attend the event.
 The Massachusetts Computer Software Council is a non-profit industry association of more than 260 chief executives of Massachusetts software companies. Its mission is to provide information and contacts to help software CEOs manage and grow their companies. Founded in 1985 by a group of software company executives that includes many of the industry's leaders, the Software Council represents a broad range of independent Massachusetts developers and marketers of microcomputer, minicomputer and mainframe software products.
