JI ASK starts protest campaign against non-implementation of UN resolution.

ISLAMABAD -- Jamat-e-Islami (AJK) has started nationwide campaign to send emails to UN Secretary General Ban Ki Moon to record their protest regarding non-implementation of UN resolutions about right of determination of Kashmiris.

Secretary General Jamat-e-Islami Pakistan, Liaqat Baloch while addressing a press conference here on Monday asked the youth and students of educational institutes to use social media and emails as a tool to remind the United Nations its responsibility of giving value to the oppressed and deprived people of the Indian occupied Kashmir.

He said that the UN and USA spend millions of dollar on Hepatitis, polio and awareness campaign regarding other diseases round the globe but they refuse to give freedom to the more than ten million Kashmiri people who have being tortured by India. The UN should not be biased and impartial in its duty," he said.

According to the (JUI-AJK), 0.5 million emails have been sent to the UN Secretary General Ban ki moon to record protest and to express solidarity with the Kashmiris brothers on the day of National Kashmir Day celebrated on Feb 05 (today).

It is pertinent to mention here that in 1949 the United Nation had passed a resolution giving the Kashmiris the right of self determination but so far it has not been implemented.

Secretary General Jamat-e-Islami Pakistan, Liaqat Baloch appealed to the world powers and the International organization working for the human rights, to focus on the issue of Kashmir in the United Nation.

"Indian cannot be given the status of Most Favourite Nation (MFN) till the resolution of Occupied Kashmir.

He requested to all those Pakistani people who love Kashmir, should use social media and email for the cause of Kashmir, without which Pakistan is incomplete.
