JEWELRY DESIGNED IN THE MIND OF A CHILD AT STRAWBRIDGE & CLOTHIER

PHILADELPHIA, June 8 /PRNewswire/ -- Shoppers in Strawbridge & Clothier's jewelry department will notice a new line of jewelry this season.
Brightly colored flowers, watermelons, houses and more decorate pins and earrings created by Two Hands, Inc. What makes this jewelry special is that the inspiration for each design comes from the mind and heart of a disabled, disadvantaged or seriously ill child.
Pam Cullis, vice president of sales for Two Hands, Inc., said, "This particular product is not like the AIDS pin. It's an actual product line designed or inspired by children." The company works with various non-profit organizations and develops a program that allows the children to draw or relate a design idea that has meaning to them. These ideas are then turned over to the experts at Two Hands, Inc. and transformed into wearable artwork. At least 1 percent of the company's gross sales is donated back to these organizations.
"It's a win-win situation for all parties involved," Cullis continued. "The children feel as though they're able to accomplish a great task, that somebody's really looking and liking what they've done."
The jewelry is priced from $10 to $18.50 and made in the United States. Copyright stickers signify the authenticity of each piece. Every item comes with a card that relates the message of Two Hands, Inc. and leaves the customer with this thought: "We make a living by what we get, but we make a life by what we give."
