JEFFREY WALLACE APPOINTED VICE PRESIDENT, SALES & MARKETING OF VARI-X

 IRVINE, Calif. Jan. 22 /PRNewswire/ -- Jeffrey C. Wallace, 46, has been named vice president, sales & marketing of Vari-X Inc., a wholly owned subsidiary of Enhanced Imaging Technologies Inc. (NASDAQ: EITI). Announcement of Wallace's appointment was made here today by Peter P. Tong, chairman and chief executive officer of Enhanced Imaging.
 Wallace joins Vari-X after a 23-year career with E.I. duPont de Nemours & Co. Inc. where he was most recently in charge of duPont's cardiology film business.
 Tong commented, "Jeff Wallace provides our Vari-X subsidiary with expanded senior-level sales and marketing expertise. In addition to his background in cardiology film, Jeff brings to Vari-X substantial experience in capital equipment sales to hospital radiology departments, a natural growth area for the company. With Jeff on board, Drew Hofmann will be able to concentrate on his responsibilities as chief operating officer of Enhanced Imaging, as well as the recently assumed responsibilities of president of our Optical Devices subsidiary."

As a result of its recent acquisitions of Cine-Cath Imaging Inc. and Cine Film Systems Inc., Vari-X is now the leading supplier of specialized films, film-related imaging products and services designed to optimize the quality of cardiac images produced in cardiac catheterization laboratories. Its products include cine angiography film manufactured by AGFA, Ilford and duPont, plus digital imaging products and numerous related accessories.
