JANE GREBENC AND RONALD W. HONGOSH PROMOTED TO SENIOR VICE PRESIDENTS OF NATIONAL CITY BANK

 CLEVELAND, Jan. 12 /PRNewswire/ -- Jane Grebenc and Ronald W. Hongosh were promoted to senior vice presidents, National City Bank, effective Jan. 1, 1994. Grebenc will head consumer loan operations administration. She also was recently named vice president of National City Corporation (NYSE: NCC), the bank's holding company. Ronald W. Hongosh will head retail credit administration for the bank.
 "Under their leadership, I am confident that National City's consumer loan services division and retail credit areas will continue to grow and provide a high level service for our customers while bringing value to stockholders of the Corporation," said William E. MacDonald III, president, National City Bank.
 In her new position, Grebenc, 35, manages consumer collections, operations, accounting and compliance at the bank's loan operations center in Brecksville. This center services the consumer loan portfolios of all National City banks across Ohio, Indiana and Kentucky.
 Hongosh, 38, has overseen the retail credit division since 1992 where he is responsible for residential mortgage, direct and indirect retail credit, merchant services, credit card services, student lending and retail credit administration.

 Grebenc joined National City Bank in 1982 as a trainee in the branch administration management development program. In 1985, she was appointed branch manager and lending officer. She was promoted to assistant vice president, branch administration in 1987, and in 1989 became vice president, business services group. In 1990, she was appointed director of marketing and sales administration where she managed marketing services, retail marketing management and branch sales administration. She later worked on National City's corporate-wide cost restructuring program, Vision. Most recently, Grebenc was manager of National City Corporation's videoconferencing project.
 She earned a bachelor of science degree in economics from John Carroll University in 1982. She received her master's degree in marketing and finance from Case Western Reserve University in 1989.

 Hongosh joined National City Bank in 1977 as a trainee in branch administration and became branch manager/lending officer, Brookgate, in 1981. He was promoted to assistant vice president in 1983 and became manager of the southwest region in 1985. In 1986, he was promoted to vice president, branch administration. He transferred to the retail loan division in 1987 where he assumed responsibility for the auto/boat sales group and the wholesale "floorplan" department. In 1992, he was named head of the retail credit division.
 Hongosh earned a bachelor of arts degree in communications from Cleveland State University in 1977. He completed the University of Michigan's Executive Program in 1987. Hongosh is a board member of the International Credit Association of Northeast Ohio and is on the board of Southwest General Hospital.
