JAMES W. ROWAN ELECTED VICE PRESIDENT OF SUNAMERICA INC.
LOS ANGELES, Feb. 2 /PRNewswire/ -- James W. Rowan has been elected vice president of SunAmerica Inc. (NYSE: SAI). In this position, Rowan has responsibilities in the areas of corporate development, asset allocation and investment income planning. Rowan, 30, joined the company in 1992 as assistant to the chairman. Previously, he was senior vice president of Security Pacific Corporation, which he joined in 1986. At Security Pacific, Rowan directed corporate planning and acquisitions and was responsible for overseeing the company's international securities subsidiaries. He was with the accounting firm of Peat, Marwick Mitchell & Co. for two years before joining Security Pacific. A certified public accountant, Rowan holds a bachelor of science degree from Arizona State University and a master of management degree from Northwestern University, Kellogg Graduate School of Management. SunAmerica is a financial services company with more than $16 billion of assets owned or under management.
