 JAMES R. ELLER JR. JOINS GLENFED INC. AS CORPORATE SECRETARY;
 NAMED CORPORATE COUNSEL AND SECRETARY OF GLENDALE FEDERAL BANK
 GLENDALE, Calif., Aug. 20 /PRNewswire/ -- James R. Eller Jr. has joined GLENFED Inc. (NYSE: GLN) as corporate secretary, and has been named corporate counsel and secretary of its principal subsidiary Glendale Federal Bank.
 Eller, 45, whose expertise in corporate and securities law spans more than 18 years, most recently served as vice president, associate counsel and assistant secretary at Security Pacific National Bank.
 Prior to his corporate affiliation, Eller spent three years as a partner with Charlston, Revich & Williams in Los Angeles; seven years as a partner in the Los Angeles office of Finley, Kumble, Wagner, Heine, Underberg, Manley, Myerson & Casey; and six years as an associate in the corporate department of Dewey Ballantine in New York.
 He holds admissions to the state and federal bars of California and New York, and is a member of the American Bar Association, State Bar of California and the Los Angeles County Bar Association.
 Eller received his A.B. degree from Columbia University, and holds a J.D. degree from Duke Law School, where he was graduated with distinction. He currently resides in Los Angeles.
