JAMES MCCAFFREY JOINS KEY TRONIC AS EXECUTIVE VICE PRESIDENT

SPOKANE, Wash., Sept. 20 /PRNewswire/ -- Key Tronic Corp. (NASDAQ: KTCC), Spokane-based manufacturer of computer keyboards and other input devices, today announced the appointment of former Mitsumi Electronics Corp. Vice President James A. McCaffrey as Key Tronic's executive vice president of sales & marketing.
At Mitsumi since 1982, McCaffrey was most recently vice president, sales and marketing, managing international sales, distribution and technical services for this supplier of keyboards and computer and electronic components. Headquartered in Japan, Mitsumi has facilities in Irving, Texas, from which McCaffrey has operated.
Prior to Mitsumi, McCaffrey held sales management posts at three international electronics companies.
In announcing the appointment, Key Tronic Chief Executive Officer Stanley Hiller said, "We have admired Jim McCaffrey's contributions in the electronics industry, and are fortunate to be the benefactor of his career change to an American company. At the same time, his strong experience in the international keyboard markets will be important to Key Tronic's growth as a global player."
"With the Key Tronic acquisition of Honeywell's Keyboard Division in July, the company has become the largest independent keyboard manufacturer in the world," Hiller said. "Our greatly increased scale of operations requires the addition of people of Jim McCaffrey's calibre at this new executive vice presidential level."
Key Tronic operates from bases in the United States, Ireland, Mexico and Asia, marketing its products to most major computer manufacturers, and to distributors and large retail outlets worldwide.
