JAMES J. KENNEDY NAMED MANAGING DIRECTOR OF FUJI CAPITAL MARKETS CORPORATION; RESPONSIBLE FOR SWAPS & DERIVATIVES ACTIVITIES WORLDWIDE

 NEW YORK, Dec. 15 /PRNewswire/ -- Fuji Capital Markets Corporation, a subsidiary of The Fuji Bank, Limited, announced today that James J. Kennedy has been appointed managing director of Fuji Capital Markets Corporation (FCMC), responsible for all aspects of FCMC's Swaps & Derivatives Group operations on a worldwide basis. He succeeds Steven A. Schwimmer, who earlier this year announced his plans to resign.
 Mr. Kennedy, 37, has served as the global trading manager for FCMC since joining the firm in 1990. Prior to that, he was vice president in charge of trading for the Derivatives Products Group at Chemical Bank, New York. A native of Chicago, Mr. Kennedy graduated from Yale University in 1978. He resides in Short Hills, N.J.
 With offices currently in New York and London, the Swaps & Derivatives Group specializes in making markets in fixed-income derivatives products, such as swaps and options. The group has been in operation since January 1991.
